June 2007 - Elise faire-part (birth announcement)

One day about a month after Elise's birth, Etienne drew the following circles by himself and showed it to me, and with a big smile on his face he told me,"This (big circle) is papa, this (medium circle) is mama, this (smaller circle) is tien-tien, this (smallest circle) is Elise!" Almost made me cry :)...so we decided to use it on the faire-part (birth announcement card common in France) for Elise! Here is the english version:

p.s. As some folks have asked, Elise (pronounced "A" as in ABC and "liz" in French, in English it's "E" like for Elisabeth) means consecrated to God; Kai Yi means joy and satisfaction/contentment, or satisfied, true for her in both senses! (Yi is from yi2 ran2 zhi4 de2 or the yi of Ipoh in chinese)
